With summer just around the corner, now is the time to prep your vehicle for the warm months ahead for whatever adventure the road may take you on. Whether you are vacationing, taking a Sunday evening drive, or a mid-afternoon picnic…here are a few tips, to prepare your vehicle for a summer full of fun and sun.
-Rotate your tires about every 5,000 miles and check tire pressures once a month; check them while they’re cold before driving for any distance.
– Don’t forget to check your spare as well..
2. Cooling System
-One of the greatest causes of summer breakdowns is overheating.
-The vehicle’s cooling system should be completely flushed and refilled every year.
-If your car’s air conditioning doesn’t feel as cold as you remember, recharge your coolant or have it inspected by a technician.
3. Windshield Wipers
– We usually advise that you replace your wiper blades every 6 months.
–To ensure a sparkling clean window, possibly change to a summer blend or bug formula that is designed to remove insect and tar residue that can build up.
4. Vehicle Lighting
-Check that all of your vehicle’s interior and exterior lights are working properly. (Headlights, taillights, front and rear turn signals, back-up lights, and brake lights.)
