The holidays may be over but winter is still here. Cold weather, snow and ice are still very present dangers and now is no time to neglect your car. Follow these simple tips for protecting your vehicle during the remaining winter months:
1. Wash your vehicle at least twice a month during winter to remove dirt, salt, and other debris that can damage your vehicle’s finish.
2. Apply a paint sealant or wax. This helps repel rain, snow and sleet; it also protects against corrosion due to road salt.
3. Check your antifreeze/coolant levels to guard the engine during extreme cold starts.
4. Check and clean the windshield wiper blades or replace them if necessary. During icy or snowy days, lift your windshield wipers off of the glass in a vertical position. This keeps your wiper blades from freezing to your windshield.
